The right tools for your individual requirements
From traditional document transfer by e-mail to fully automated translation projects with real-time monitoring – as our customer, the choice is yours.
An overview of the technologies we use:
SimulTracker – our customer portal for project management
SimulTracker is the project management system at SimulTrans.
Our customers can access the system via their own logins, allowing them to manage and view their SimulTrans projects whenever they wish.
- Upload files for processing
- Request and confirm cost estimates
- Check the status of current projects
- Download translated files
Workflow can be adapted to the respective project type and your individual requirements.
Although SimulTracker makes our work easier, our experienced and friendly project managers remain at your disposal as your first point of contact in all matters. We will continue to handle your projects personally and are always here for you.
Business intelligence functionalities
SimulTracker can generate individual BI reports that give you a clear overview of your translation volume and costs.
You can for example create reports on invoiced projects, sorted by requester, or a summary of your translation costs per language and year. The savings resulting from the use of a translation memory system are shown in summary, enabling you to see immediately how cost-effective the technology was.
If you would like additional overviews and reports in order to track your key performance indicators, please contact us. We can adapt this section of the software for you and help you to reach the desired indicators.
Linguistic review in the country where the target language is spoken
If you have proofreaders in the country where the respective target language is spoken, the revision process can be integrated directly into the SimulTracker workflow and managed there. This saves you time and effort in coordinating the revision phase.
The proofreaders are notified automatically as soon as translations are ready to review. They log in to the portal with their own accounts and revise the translations online. Source text and translation are displayed side by side.
Workflows and permission settings make it easy to determine which projects are sent to external proofreaders after translation. You can also add this option for individual projects as needed.
API link to customer project database or CMS
SimulTracker offers an API through which you can connect directly to your version control or content management system. You can initiate your projects directly via the API and receive the completed translations in the same way.
The interface can be accessed via REST functions for querying and transferring data; outputs are returned in JSON format.
Free for our customers
Access to the SimulTracker customer portal is of course free of charge for our customers.
Phrase TMS – translation management system
Phrase TMS (formerly Memsource) is an AI-based translation management system that optimises localisation processes. The browser-based solution allows all involved parties to view the status of the project at all times; it also features the option of a detailed client review.
CAT tools – software-based translation
Computer Aided Translation – CAT for short – is an umbrella term for software-assisted translation. We use translation memory (TM) systems as key elements of the translation process in order to store human-translated text segments in a customer-specific database. Further indispensable components of these tools include conversion programs for text editing, alignment tools to add existing translations to a database, and powerful project and workflow management tools.
Machine Translation (MT)
DELTA was founded in 1998 as a subsidiary of Logos, a market leader in the field of machine translation. We have followed the development of MT since then and used it, by arrangement with our customers, wherever it provided advantages for them. Recent technological advancements are also driving demand from customers hoping for faster processing and lower costs. In response, we provide professional, individual advice and ask the important questions:
- Which machine is appropriate?
- Which language pairs are supported?
- What types of content are suitable?
- How is correct terminology ensured?
- What requirements must the customer already bear in mind when creating the texts to be translated?
- How can data privacy be ensured?
Schema and Flare – technical editing
As experts in translating texts from the MadCap Flare and Schema ST4 authoring environments we use appropriate interfaces that connect seamlessly to the authoring process. We also have comprehensive expertise in translating documentation created and managed in these systems.
Content Management Systems (CMS)
We are experts in connecting CMS solutions such as WordPress or Typo 3 and managing the seamless exchange of appropriate file formats via the respective interfaces.
You want to decide for yourself which technologies are used to create your texts.
You have every right to do so – and we will be happy to advise you.
